The indie artist takes her visuals every bit as seriously as her music

The Loesch family was for many decades associated with the Corinth School near the Zion community south of Jefferson City. In the fall of 1946, when Candace (Loesch) Stockton was looking forward to beginning her elementary education at the same one-room schoolhouse her father had attended years earlier, she discovered that consolidation of school districts would require her to go to classes at Harmony Grove School in southwest Jefferson City.

The skimpy design showcased the 24-year-old models figure as she knealt on a bed of Daily Mail papers for the fun snaps, taken by photographer Stewart Bywater.
