Dornoch Area Community Council has recruited a new member. Her enlistment means the community council now stands at full strength with nine members. Mr Murray said: Yvonne impressed me with her very fast reaction in Embo to Covid-19. While we called a meeting of likely charities to see what Dornoch could do, and were reasonably quick, she had already done the work in Embo.

James and Fiona McGillivray set up Dornoch Tea and in 2018 planted 1000 tea bushes in polytunnels on their croft at Lonemore, Dornoch. On their Facebook page, the couple say that they are still developing their tea but should have some for sale in summer 2021.
