A Michigan man awaiting trial for the kidnapping and murder of 16-year-old Mujey Dumbuya has died from medical complications related to cancer treatment.

The 16-year-old girl was kidnapped from a bus stop in Michigan, authorities said.

While being lodged at a Federal Bureau of Prisons facility, Bennett reportedly attempted to hire another inmate to kill a key witness.
