In 2024, India celebrated the discovery of nine fascinating new species, from a jumping spider to a burrowing frog, each adding to the countrys rich biodiversity and offering insights into its natural wonders.

The “cryptic” animals were discovered in a rocky forest and near a temple.

Scientists peered under the rocks and spotted the “large” creature living there, the study said.
