Spike, a 23-year-old chihuahua mix from Ohio, has been named the worlds oldest living dog by Guinness World Records (GWR).

Spike, who was born in November 1999, was granted the title on Dec. 7.

The Guinness World Book of Records just crowned an Ohio dog as the oldest living dog in the world. This appears to be the third dog in less than a year to grab that honor.

Spike’s owner found him abandoned at a grocery store back in 2009. Today, the world’s oldest living dog enjoys spending time with the grandchildren and indulging in his favorite chips.
