It was also four more than Warner had, but the St. Louis Ramsâ QB and engineer of the âGreatest Show on Turfâ insisted at the time that it wasnât a pipe dream.
âIs it realistic? I believe it is,â he mused that day inside the Superdome in New Orleans. âI believe every time I step on the field I can win and we can go to the Super Bowl.â

Giants teammate Derek Engler was over for dinner, during the off week before the Giants faced the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XXXV, 20 years ago. As Engler admired the AFC Championship rings Parker had won in four consecutive Super Bowl losses with the Buffalo Bills, Parker shared his fears about the upcoming trip to Tampa, Fla.
“I don’t want another one of these,” Parker told him.
