Previous conversation with bill in terms of the mantra the pilots have. its about navigate and communicate. when the pilots sense there would be an emergency, what they have to do is get the aircraft under a condition where they can then start looking at a navigational airfield. if they are traveling at 400 knots and have an emergency, the pilot wants to convert speed to height. they will get it into a glide profile. im not sure of the speed for the glide on the a320. >> they are at cruising hei...
