Citizens, driven to despondency by the malevolent refusal of incumbent politicians to afford them credible choice at the ballot box or to respect the will of the people disclosed in elections, are now in one country after another tempted to transfer their allegiance to wannabe messiahs in military fatigues.

Improving law enforcement can well break the cycle of modern slavery. It can only be A good thing that a day like this is remembered. Until it is not, calling to mind the horrors of the slave trade would help efforts to combat all forms of modern slavery.

Moreover, it has contributed to school dropouts due to unrealistic expectations set by social media. Internet fraud has surged due to joblessness and the need for social relevance.
