BJP deploys four Assam ministers to campaign in all 60 wards of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) to support their debutant candidate, Bijuli Kalita Medhi. The ministers emphasized government accomplishments and welfare programs while seeking votes for development. The constituency is witnessing a battle between Medhi and Congress candidate Mira Borthakur Goswami.

At present, 18 wards of the city have been divided into three administrative zones — east, west and central — by the RMC.

Meanwhile, the citizens can raise objections on the draft list and the last date for raising the objections is January 19.
