PROVO, Utah — BYU softball head coach Gordon Eakin named Allie Hancock-Schneemann assistant coach on Tuesday. Hancock-Schneemann served as the Cougars’ director of operations this past season.  After playing first base at BYU from 2016-2019, she was a volunteer assistant coach on staff from 2020-2021. Hancock-Schneemann also had an assistant coaching stint at Utah Valley from 2021-2022 prior to her return to Provo.

FORT COLLINS, Co. — A three-run homer by Ailana Agbayani and a complete game shutout from Chloe Temple fueled BYU softball to a 5-0 win over South Dakota State in the NISC semifinal at Red Rocks Field on Saturday morning. PROVO, Utah — BYU softball gets set to continue its season at the National Invitational Softball Championship (NISC) in Fort Collins, Colorado on Thursday afternoon. PROVO, Utah — Coming off of two mid-week wins against in-state teams, BYU softball resumes West Coast Conference play with a three-game series against San Diego.  The Cougars (25-13, 4-2 WCC) and Toreros will play a doubleheader on Friday evening beginning at 5 p.m. MDT. Saturday’s game three is set to start at Noon after being moved up from 1 p.m. earlier in the week.

BYU offered Hailey Morrow a scholarship to play softball for the Cougars when she was just a kid. Now the coaches have turned the former second baseman into a starting catcher. Read more here.
