Gordon Wayne walked 569 miles on foot from Caroline to Athens, Georgia, home of the University of Georgia, where he will start law school next week.

These days, a pub stay isn’t just about finding the cheapest option available – many now offer stylish accommodation, as well as great food and atmosphere.

A student will walk through the Upstate on his journey from Virginia to Georgia. He is walking more than 500 miles to raise awareness about homelessness.

Gordon Wayne is raising awareness for those experiencing homelessness after he experienced a season of having no place to stay.

In 2020, Gordon Wayne traveled the entire 500-plus mile distance from his native Caroline County to Boston College — where he’d been admitted on a full scholarship — on foot.
