The Fairfield Lions Club has named Konnor Dagg as its 2022 FCHS Star Student. Dagg is the son of Wayde and Carrie Dagg, and he received the Star Student plaque and a $400 check from the Lions Club. Wayne County Mobile Home Tax Bills will be mailed tomorrow (April 22), and they are due July 1st. Anyone paying after July 1st will be subject to a $25 per month penalty. The total amount extended this year is $91,605.77 for 965 mobile homes. Last year, the extension was $98,248.35 cents for 1,040 mobile homes. New Hope Grade School was crowned champion of the Wayne County Scholastic Bowl Friday night at Frontier Community College. The team went undefeated on the day, topping Jasper and Wayne City in the morning before defeating second-place Cisne in the championship match.
