COLUMBIA BASIN – Many Basin baseball and softball squads have been wrapping up non-league games and have begun to face competition in their respective leagues. Read along for a look at how teams have fared in their games over the past week.

COLUMBIA BASIN — It was a busy weekend of wrestling tournaments across the Columbia Basin, with Lind-Ritzville/Sprague, Othello and Quincy all hosting tournaments on Saturday.

COLUMBIA BASIN – More than 200 local athletes earned all-league honors during the fall sports season, ranging from honorable mentions to players of the year. Read along to see what awards athletes from all 12 local schools earned this fall sports season.

MOSES LAKE — A five-run top of the second inning was enough for Naselle to defeat Almira/Coulee-Hartline in the second round of the 1B State Baseball Tournament on Saturday, leaving Larson Playfield with a 5-3 win over the Warriors. ACH added three runs of its own in the bottom of the third, but couldn’t add on any additional runs over the final four innings.

COULEE CITY — Off to a 3-0 start this season, the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors are looking forward to getting back on the field after a nine-day hiatus from game action. While many teams around the Basin have played upward of 10 games already this season, the Warriors have only played three since a March 25 doubleheader against Selkirk, this weekend’s opponent, was postponed...
