The Great Bubble Barrier is one of 15 finalists taking center stage this week at Prince Williams Earthshot Prize in Boston. 

“Rivers and waterways are like the highways of the plastic pollution.The majority of the plastic in the ocean has traveled through rivers and thats why we want to stop it right there.”

Bubble barrier technology was created and placed in the Oude Rijn river in the Netherlands to help stop plastic pollution from reaching the ocean.

The Great Bubble Barrier is a new way to stop plastic from migrating from rivers to oceans, and it won’t disrupt fish or ship traffic.
