Great Prostitute News Today

During his 43-year reign, while the people wallowed in abject poverty, Somoza came to own half of the land and most of the companies in Nicaragua. What is worse is that Somoza’s interests were ruthlessly protected by the national guard: The national guard which was known for torture and killing at will. This is the same national guard that the US created, paid for, and armed as a part of America’s “foreign aid program.” This is the same national guard whom Reagan labeled, “Freedom Figh...

What I mean is that when we call out Rome as the Beast of Rev 13 there is little to no dispute that it at least referred to the ancient Roman empire. But when John wrote Revelation he was concerned that many of the Christ followers had been deceived by the propaganda of the empire. They had been or were in danger of being, seduced by the Great Prostitute (the goddess Roma). This concern is powerfully embodied in the heavenly cry, “Come out of her, my people” (Rev 18:4).It is ironic, then, wh...

Last month (November, 2023), I wrote an article where I identified the name of the head demon I believed represented the USA today, which is "Columbia", a female deity that also goes by "Lady Liberty" or "Freedom" in modern times since the USA was founded in 1776. In ancient times she has been known by other names, such as “Ashtoreth”, a female fertility "god" known in Old Testament times, or "Artemis", the name she was given in the New Testa...

One of the teachings of the Bible that I have referenced frequently in my writings is that the entire world system, particularly its political and financial systems, is all part of Satan's kingdom. This is the system that all of us are born into naturally, and to escape this demonic system, we have to be "born again" spiritually to enter into the Kingdom of God, ruled by Jesus Christ. We are then called the "children of God," because of our rebirth spiritually. When Jesu...

In 21:9-22:9 John details the new creation by describing a garden-like city/temple. For John, this new garden-like, city-temple comprises the entirety of the new creation. It is important to recognize that the New Jerusalem is “the bride, the wife of the Lamb” (9). Of cour...

Monday: Read Revelation 15:1-8 In 15:1-16:20, John presents us with the third series of seven: the Seven Bowls (Seals; Trumpets; Bowls). Each of the three It is again very important to remember that John is writing the churches. His goal was to show them what is really the true when it comes to the world around us. Thus, John explains that although it may look like Rome is in power, it may look like power and military might rule the world, and it may look like we need to give our allegiance to t...

The Book of Revelation Comes with an Answer Key Does the book of Revelation have anything to say about the everyday Christian life? How can I discern what God is telling me in this mysterious book? Most of us don’t often encounter hordes of locusts, enraged dragons, or apocalyptic horsemen. These are symbols, of course, but it seems initially unlikely that these visceral and technicolor images correspond with the mundane features of my altogether ordinary life. If I don’t know what the sym...
