Greeley Evans Alternative Program News Today

As the community prepares for graduation season, Greeley-Evans School District 6 released its class of 2024 graduation ceremony information for all non-charter high schools.

District 6 officials want to reach a 90% on-time graduation rate by 2030, as outlined in the district's strategic plan, Innovation 2030.

A total of 1,341 students graduated in 2022, up from 1,264 in 2021, District 6 reported.

The Greeley-Evans Alternative Program — or GAP — and the NEXT Program presented 42 high school diplomas and 16 high school equivalency diplomas, according to a release from District 6.

The Greeley-Evans Alternative Program and NEXT 2024 winter class will graduate 9 a.m. Saturday. 

"Remember this moment when things are tough, when there's a deadline or you don't think you can do it," Allen said.

In Weld County, Sunday is the biggest day on the calendar for graduations with eight: Ault-Highland Weld RE-9, Eaton, Pawnee, Platte Valley, Prairie, Severance, Weld Central and Windsor.

In a time when digital interactions are the norm — quick, constant and often impersonal — the District 6 Online Academy's goal is to move relationships to the head of the class even through video platforms
