Cochrane RCMP have issued warrants for the arrest of a man who prompted a shelter in place warning earlier this week.

Police lifted a shelter in place order for residents in a Cochrane, Alta. neighbourhood, but are continuing to investigate reports of an armed man in the community west of Calgary.

Cochrane RCMP issued and then rescinded a shelter-in-place order for some residents after a man believed to be armed left the area on a scooter.

Police say specifically people living on Bow Ridge Drive in the Bow Ridge neighbourhood should stay inside and lock their doors.
