Plans are coming together for the ninth annual Okoboji Blue Water Festival set for Saturday, Aug. 10, at Preservation Plaza’s green space in Arnolds Park. What better place to hold the foremost clean water event in the state than on the shores of West Lake Okoboji. Co-chair and organizer Greg Drees shared the excitement that he and his co-chair Julie Peterson have for this all-day clean water celebration.

Plans are coming together for the ninth annual Okoboji Blue Water Festival, which is set for Saturday, Aug. 10 at Preservation Plaza’s green space in Arnolds Park. What better place to hold the foremost clean water event in the state than on the shores of West Lake Okoboji. Co-chair and organizer, Greg Drees said he and his co-chair Julie Peterson are excited for this all-day clean water celebration.

“Educate yourself, tell the story, learn more and never give up," he said. “Talk to your legislators, and let them know your beliefs.”

Hopefully, we can keep Bowermaster’s message alive and become "purposeful and intentional environmentalists."

  In just a matter of weeks, the eighth annual Okoboji Blue Water Festival will take place at Preservation Plaza on the shores of West Lake Okoboji. Co-organizer Greg Drees said he and others have finalized the day-long activities for the Aug. 12 festival, and they've added a State/Local Clean Water Panel Discussion, which he feels will be an exciting educational opportunity. The panel discussion will run from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. under the Big Tent.

In just a few weeks, Saturday, Aug. 12, the eighth annual Okoboji Blue Water Festival will take place at Preservation Plaza on the shores of West Lake Okoboji. According to co-organizer Greg Drees, “We have finalized the daylong activities and added a truly exciting educational clean water opportunity with a State/Local Clean Water Panel Discussion that will run from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. under the big tent.
