A former officer of the year for the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department has sued the city under the Texas Whistleblower Act, claiming she was subjected to “prolonged dangerous and abusive behavior” from the department’s police chief, court records obtained by KSAT Investigates show.

The city of Fair Oaks Ranch has released an independent report that clears Police Chief Tim Moring of wrongdoing and claims that officers who came forward with complaints against Moring were attempting to distract attention from their inappropriate relationship with one another.

Four cities in the San Antonio area made the list. The highest ranking among local cities is Fair Oaks Ranch, which is considered the 4th safest city by SafeWise.
