Malone stepped down as Vallejo City Manager, giving way to Beverli Marshall, who will serve in an interim role. Human Resources Manager Stephanie Sifuentes presented the proposal to appoint Marshall as interim city manager at the last Vallejo City Council meeting.

The new salary for the Marshall will be 302,574. According to a city staff report, the salary range for the position was developed to ensure internal consistency with city positions requiring similar skills and a salary comparison was conducted evaluating similar positions in neighboring cities which are equivalent in size and demographics, consistent with Vallejo’s past practice.

Marshall will be the fourth city manager for the City of Vallejo in a four-year period.
