The manager of a car dealership that has been in a Buckinghamshire town for nearly 100 years says it owes its longevity to loyal customers.

The attack on heritage is in effect the same land grab on older inner-city areas that developers ran in the late 60s and early 70s, a campaign all about developer profits and not about affordability of housing or good urban planning.

 

The IRA incentive may be having a bigger impact among US car dealers than consumers.

Since the beginning of this year, U.S. car buyers have been able to get a federal tax credit of up to $4,000 for the purchase of a used electric vehicle.

While the used-vehicle credit is not bound by the domestic sourcing requirements that apply for new EVs, it does come with conditions: Buyers can’t make more than $75,000 annually or $150,000 a year in jointly filed taxes.
