Movie night’s pre-party went according to plan – perhaps even better than planned – with the Birds’ 45-22 victory over the Hillsboro Hiltoppers to clinch the South Central Conference championship. Southwestern, which had not won the SCC since completing the third of three successive 9-0 seasons in the league in 2016, handed the Toppers their first conference defeat. Hillsboro is 12-3 and 7-1 in the SCC. The Birds improved to 11-1 and close 9-0 in the SCC.
