Palatine village councilmen Doug Myslinski and Greg Solberg will host a combined fall residents meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at village hall council chambers.

Durty Nellies has inhabited a treasured spot in Palatines history. Now the iconic suburban nightspot at 180 N. Smith St. wants to be part of the villages future. Village trustees opened up that opportunity Monday by approving a preliminary plan to tear down the building housing the pub and concert venue and replace it with a new six-story building that would include a new Durty Nellies. But parking questions lingered.

The Palatine village council Monday approved plans for a warehouse with truck loading docks on nearly 30 acres of green space along Algonquin Road in Palatine.

Palatine will not allow downtown bars and restaurants to set up outdoor dining on public streets this year but will continue allowing it on public sidewalks.

Its all but certainly the end of the road for a Wisconsin developers plan for an affordable housing building in Palatine that had been widely opposed by residents.

Despite resident opposition, the Palatine village council has given a green light to a preliminary plan for the construction of a "light industrial" building along Algonquin Road.
