Geoscientists created a new method that can reconstruct the drift path and origin of debris in the sea using the shells of barnacles.

SHAH ALAM - On March 8th 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 took off from Kuala Lumpur, bound for Beijing. Tragically, less than an hour into the flight, it lost contact over...

BARNACLES found on a piece of plane debris might hold the key to discovering what happened to MH370, the Malaysia Airlines flight that disappeared in 2014.

New approach ‘might help bring some closure to the families of those on the missing plane,’ scientists say

The researchers were able to create a partial ocean drift pattern for the missing flight's component using oceanic modelling and temperature records.

To this point, the search for MH370 has stretched for several thousand kilometres along a north-south corridor dubbed The Seventh Arc, where investigators believe the plane may have slid after running out of fuel.

Washington DC (UPI) Aug 23, 2023 - A team led by the University of South Florida said Wednesday that research into barnacles could help determine the fate of flight MH370, which disappeared over the Indian Ocean in 2014.

A study of barnacles attached to debris from Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 could help pinpoint where the ...

The mystery of flight MAF370, which vanished over the Indian Ocean with all hands, has baffled the world for nine years, but now a geoscientist at the University of South Florida may have found a surprising way to locate the wreck using barnacles.
