Wallace is accused of punching and seriously injuring Sgt. Scott Crumbaker in late September 2022 after he and Cpl. Josh Goldschmidt were attempting an undercover operation to remove a court-ordered tracer from a vehicle not registered to Wallace that he was using that day. The vehicle was located near Eighth Street and Boise Avenue in Loveland at the time.

Dylan Miller has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, a class 2 felony; sexual assault of a child from a position of trust, a class 3 felony; unlawful sexual conduct by a peace officer, a class 3 felony; sexual assault, a class 6 felony; official oppression, a class 1 misdemeanor; and first-degree official misconduct, a class 1 misdemeanor.

Daniel Alcazar has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, a class 3 felony; and felony menacing with a real or simulated weapon, a class 5 felony. He is scheduled to make his first appearance before 8th Judicial District Court Judge Gregory Lammons at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 9.

Jesus Lopez-Zavala has since been charged with attempted first-degree murder after deliberation, a class 2 felony; two counts of felony menacing with a real or simulated weapon, a class 5 felony; first-degree armed burglary, a class 3 felony; criminal mischief, a class 6 felony; and two counts of violation of a protection order, a class 2 misdemeanor.

Both Dan Jasisnki, 41-year-old Jacobo Mendoza's attorney, and Chief Deputy District Attorney Laura Hinojos agreed that it would not make sense to schedule a jury trial quite yet, and instead Lammons scheduled a review hearing for 1:30 p.m. Oct. 16.
