Group Improvisation News Today

Wexford students have taken All-Ireland honours at the Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland Feis 2024. The students, from Shine Bright Theatre in Wexford town, headed to The Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan, Dublin for an event which is now in its 38th year. Children aged 5-18 took part in the competition in a range of events including poetry, public speaking, sight reading, solo drama, mime, duologues, and television presenting.

LEWISBURG — The Susquehanna Valley Youth Chorale (SVYC), an educational outreach program of the Susquehanna Valley Chorale, will host a Youth Singers Jamboree workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The second annual Okoboji Middle School Speech Team Performance Night was held Tuesday, March 28. This year's team was made up of 23 seventh and eighth-grade students. The group included four teams which performed in Group Improvisation as well as others which competed in categories including Readers Theatre, Choral Reading, One Act Play and Musical Theatre. Organizers said participating in middle school speech lays a foundation before competitive speech in high school.
