The ISRO successfully launched its PSLV-C56 rocket carrying seven Singaporean satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota on Sunday. The satellites have been placed into their intended orbits.

Around 10.42 am on May 29, a three-staged GSLV rocket carrying the 2,232 kg NVS-01 satellite, part of the Indian satellite navigation system NavIC, was launched from Sriharikota.

The powerful GSLV rocket, which had three stages, stood tall at a height of 51.7 meters and weighed a staggering 420 tons. At 10.42 a.m., it took off into the sky, successfully escaping the strong pull of Earth's gravity.

The 2,232 kg satellite, launched using a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle or GSLV rocket, will add to India’s regional navigation system.

The countdown for the SSLV mission by ISRO began already at 2:26 am on Sunday, and is scheduled to lift off at 9:18 am today.
