LIC GST: GST Authority imposes Rs 36,844 penalty on LIC

Life Insurance Corporation on Wednesday said the GST Authority has imposed a fine of Rs 36,844 on LIC for lower payment of taxes. The corporation has received a communication/demand order for collection of GST, along with interest and penalty for Jammu & Kashmir state, LIC said in a regulatory filing.

GST authority: Maruti Suzuki receives show cause notice from GST authority

Maruti Suzuki India has received a show cause notice from the GST authority for the period between July 2017 and August 2022. The notice demands interest, penalties, and the appropriation of Rs 139 crore in tax that has already been paid. The company plans to file a reply to the notice and has stated that it will not have any impact on its financial or operational activities.
