In Assams Karimganj district, over 40 students, mostly girls from classes 5 to 9, mysteriously lost consciousness during a Gunotsav programme at Ramkrishnanagar Vidyapith. The event sparked panic among students and parents. Authorities, including an external evaluator, suggested a potential mental pressure-related cause. The district commissioner canceled the program, shutting the school for three days for investigation amid demands for its withdrawal.
