It could have. but i dont know the exact winds at the time of the incident. right now, its a tail wind from runway 1-3. maybe at the time it wasnt. maybe there was a wind shift which could have complicated matters in this case. maybe it was shifting around and you had a gusting cross wind which could have sent the plane off the side of the runway as we see. i pointed out earlier that the thrust reversers are not deployed in this case. that could be of the way they shut down the engines in an mer...
