Britain’s public services will be strengthened to further protect them from the risk of being shut down by hostile cyber threats, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Steve Barclay will say today.

The British Government estimates that it is the target of approximately 40% of all cyber threats - but huge challenges remain in providing protection.

It has made the awards under its Covid Innovation Fund which was launched in December. One of the projects – involving Barnet, Brent, Kensington and Chelsea, Southwark and Westminster Councils – covers the development of an interactive demographic map of user needs.
