The input was first shared with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (Cert.In), a nodal agency under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, who had requested to share the information with the nodal cyber-crime units in the states about the "potential threat".

Recently, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre issued an alert on Hacktivist Indonesia groups announcement that it will target 12,000 government websites.

The Centre also made it clear that the Indian government websites are regularly “updated” and is “capable” to handle such threats from malicious hackers.
