Underdogs? USC was ranked No. 4 in the nation in the AVCA preseason poll, was up to No. 2 for six of the next seven weeks, and finished in the No. 3 slot. No one was sleeping on USC.

Only a week after defeating the Golden Bears to claim the Pac-12 title, the Bruins repeated history – taking down the same squad to advance to the semifinal of the NCAA championship.

No. 1 seed UCLA beach volleyball (37-3, 7-0 Pac-12) will travel to Gulf Shores, Alabama, to compete in the NCAA tournament, where it will face the winner of the opening round contest between No.

In their last regular-season tournament, the Bruins conquered the sand over the top-two teams in the nation. No. 3 UCLA beach volleyball (30-2, 7-0 Pac-12) traveled to San Luis Obispo to compete in the Center of Effort Challenge with the postseason tournaments looming in the near distance.

While the rest of the student body relaxed during spring break, UCLA beach volleyball remained busy at work. No. 2 UCLA beach volleyball (22-2) continued its winning streak against No.

Haley Hallgren, a national champion in beach volleyball at USC, had half of her left lung removed because of cancer in 2022 but now plays for No. 1 UCLA.
