RCMP in Nova Scotia say a youth is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault, after a stabbing Sunday in Prospect Bay, outside Halifax. 

An emergency alert has been issued over a 'dangerous man armed with a firearm' in the Gaston Road area of Dartmouth Tuesday morning.

Speaking at a vigil Sunday for Ahmad Al Marrach, Nooman Hussain says he's trying to come to grips with what happened to his friend in a parking lot at Halifax Shopping Centre.

A 21-year-old man is facing a hefty fine and a seven-day driver's licence suspension, after a sports car was clocked doing 248 km/h  -- more than double the speed limit. 

Students at Halifax West High School were dismissed early Monday after a threatening message was discovered in a school bathroom. Police were on scene during the day.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating after a 55-year-old man was seriously injured following an overnight stabbing inside a home.

Police say a 16-year-old, who was arrested shortly after the incident, is now charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Ahmad Al Marrach.

The two 14-year-olds accused of killing a high school student outside the Halifax Shopping Centre Monday are scheduled to appear for a bail hearing next month.

Ahmad Maher Al Marrach died in a nearby hospital after being found injured outside the Halifax Shopping Centre on Monday. An autopsy ruled his death as a homicide.

A Halifax Regional Police spokesperson said the weapon used in the attack wasn't a knife, but described it as a "pointy piece of metal." A man is now facing charges.
