“However, it is not the size of the budget that matters but the implementation and the capacity to gather the resources so that we get at least 90% implementation. This is why it is a budget of reality,” he added.
He said the emphasis in the budget is on education, health and infrastructural facilities and for the education, the budget is aimed at realising the government’s policy of free and compulsory education from basic to secondary level.
Concerning health facilities, he said the government will strengthen the primary health facilities.
“We want at least one functional health facility in each of the 448 wards in the state,” he added.

Kano State House of Assembly has passed into law the 2021 budget estimate presented by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
The estimate which is amounted to be N177bn scaled third reading during plenary on Wednesday presided by the Speaker Rt. Hon. Engr. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.
Presenting the bill the leader of the House Hon. Labaran Abdul Madari said the Assembly has approved N177 Billion Naira as the 2021 budget estimate after some adjustments.
The House also passes into law the 2020 supplementary budget of N152billion naira.
In another development, Kantun Kwari Market Traders Association and Abubakar Rimi Market of Sabon Gari has called on the State Assembly to look into their observations and views on the laws presented concerning the present situation of their markets.
