Motorists who use Elfinwild Road in Shaler will have to use a detour Thursday. The road is closed between Willett and Laurel Hill roads, police said. There is a tree down on the road and police are unsure of when it will reopen to traffic. PennDOT has been notified.

Bills for new stormwater fee mailed Jordan Tax Service, which collects taxes for Hampton Township, recently sent out bills for the new Stormwater Management Fee being levied to help pay for state and federally mandated work to control flooding and reduce water pollution.
