insanity of this all volunteering to come forward or are they waiting for jack smith? it seems like half the people involved were placating trump and didn t really believe in the legitimacy of this scheme. well, a lot of them didn t but the key ones did. and the really key one, the then president of the united states clearly believed it. he ll believe anything that works for him. belief is a funny thing with donald trump. if it helps donald trump, he believes it. and i think a lot of us for a long time kind of thought, you know, these ideas seem so crazy and some of it was you know, some of the fake elector stuff we know at least a bit of it at the time and it just seemed like some crazy stuff that some of trump s hangers on were doing. and i think a lot of us thought or feared that, you know, we don t have laws, at least really clear laws that necessarily capture this stuff. i think jeff smith has decided
