Hap Erstein News Today

Longtime local film critic Hap Erstein went and saw "Halloween Ends" and doesn't give a spoiler, but he says the filmmakers left open the possibility for future movies. Now he has me curious.

Disney's "Hocus Pocus 2" is available on the company's streaming product, while "Bros" is at theaters. There's also a new horror movie at theaters this weekend. Guess which one I'll be watching. Spoiler Alert: "Smile."

The Marilyn Monroe film, "Blonde", heads to Netflix after some time at some theaters. It carries an NC-17 rating. "Don't Worry Darling" has some big names, but doesn't it look familiar?

Viola Davis is a great actress, and this one looks a lot like "Black Panther." Also, I enjoyed the sequel to "Clerks" more than I did to the original movie. Not sure if the third one is worth the the cost of a ticket, but Hap Erstein tells us what he thought of it.

There's a new horror flick called "Barbarian" playing at theaters this weekend, starring Justin Long and the guy who plays Pennywise in the newer "It" films. I think I'll check that one out, how about you?
