we re back to president biden giving an update on the student loan forgiveness program. he will be speaking at that podium right there. we ll go there when he begins. first, candidates in some of the most crucial races of these midterms are starting to debate in a few hours. in georgia, brian kemp squares off with his democrat opponent stacey abrams for the first time in the gubernatorial rematch and what they will be telling voters. what will happen there in the first big election cycle since donald trump allegedly tried to overturn the 2020 election in that state. we have a report on what election officials are doing to stress test new security features meant to protect the process. and the senate race is tight in ohio, republican jd vance and congressman tim ryan will debate for the second time and what voters tell us they re looking to hear from the two men. and where it all stands, new numbers out today shows a lot has changed in the last month. can we trust those number
he s hugging. finish your thought, rick. so i think he s in scranton because he wants to make sure people understand this is a bill for working class americans. for hard working middle class americans. you know, healthcare. the expansion of medicare. children s tax credit. free kindergarten. those things are important to every day americans and democrats haven t made the case like they should have made about why this helps people. why this helps ordinary americans. that s what s so powerful about it. whether it s 3.5 trillion or 1.9 trillion. the most important number is 51 and that s what they have to get to to get to this bill. he s introduced here. michael steele, this is the full biden as ashley parker described it. nailed it and that s what we need to see more of around these big issues. we were just talking about voting. we need the full biden on
protect medicaid expansion and get rid of mandates that he disagreed with. your reaction? heller is completely out of touch what s wrong with obamacare. the problem is what it s doing to the hard working middle class americans that have seen premiums like my family premiums have gone up 300%. our deductibles up 500%. my son had a stroke two years ago and sees several specialists three times a year. we have to pay $150 just to walk through the door to see a specialist when it used tore $25. the problem with obamacare skyrocketing cost and burden it placed on middle class americans. it s not what dean heller is saying. we talk about the president being here, you have said things recently that made a lot of headlines, specifically the idea that the president is correct essentially, that both sides are to blame and said many sides are to blame for the charlottesville violence. this puts you on a little bit of
it. go ahead. not halle berry. a little known fact. thank you, joe. really. so in cincinnati the thing i m going to look for is we saw these supporters, this is our first opportunity to get back out for this rally like what we saw for 18 months during donald trump s campaign. what do they think? my sense is that the people who backed him are going to support him regardless of the fact that he is frankly stocking his administration as you put it with insidery people and ties with washington and wall street. the people that put him into office put him into office because they believe we heard it again and again. he ll surround himself with people that know how to get things done. the other part of that is the president-elect is now the president for all americans and not just the ones that put him into office. being able to calm some nerves of folks inside d.c. and inside the establishment could go a long way, and i think that s sort of the eye on the ball that he has. hallie jacks
carrier deal is symbolic as it is, is important, then we re going to find ourselves in a worst situation. we have the smallest membership of democrats in the house in almost 100 years. my former colleagues in congress and those new to congress, you re going to have to explain that. if we don t pursue a real substantive agenda over the next two years, shame on us as a party because we let down a lot of hard working middle class americans who depend on democrats. mark halperin, nancy pelosi was the first woman elected speaker of the house. she ran that house extraordinarily well. tough, efficient. everything that you would want from a strong speaker. and yet i was watching the crown on netflix last night with my daughter where winston churchill was finally forced to step down. he passed it over who destroyed the empire but that s another thing. spoiler. that is a spoiler.
