Labette Center for Mental Health Services and Spring River Mental Health and Wellness recently announced Provisional Certification as Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) by the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) in Kansas, with Crawford County Mental Health Center expected to receive Provisional Certification later this fall.

In a work session prior to Friday’s regular meeting, Crawford County commissioners met with Crawford County Mental Health Center (CCMHC) Director Heather Spaur to begin planning and coordinating support for the organization next year.

Since Heather Spaur has taken over as executive director of the Crawford County Mental Health Center, she has been overseeing a massive expansion of services to the community.  

Crawford County Mental Health Center’s governing board announced Tuesday that it has established an advisory board “to incorporate meaningful participation of clients, family members, advocates, and passionate community members.” The advisory board was created as part of a $4 million CCBHC grant through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
