The owners of the Toco Hill Shopping Center, EDENS, announced its objection to the proposed annexation of the Toco Hills neighborhoods into the city of Brookhaven, according to a letter sent to Brookhaven officials.

The Toco Hills Shopping Center developer says their property was include Brookhaven's proposal to annex more of DeKalb County was "without our consent."

Wild Heaven Beer will open a third brewery and taproom location at the Toco Hills Shopping Center in 2024.

The DeKalb County Commission has approved a tax allocation district that covers North DeKalb Mall and the areas nearby that will be affected by the upcoming redevelopment of the property.

Janet Glady Ames, a well-loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away in Ashland, Oregon on January 7, 2021. She was 86 years of age. Janet was born in Wahpeton, North Dakota to Albert and Ella Johnson on November 29, 1934. She relocated to Crescent City, California with her husband Herbert Ames and together they raised 5 children.
