We may salvage a little hazy sun this morning, but a southbound cool front sparks a few midday and afternoon showers, even a clap of thunder. A few afternoon and evening instability T-storms bubble up each day this week with enough sunshine for highs from 85-90F, well above average. Fire and air quality concerns should fade as humidity rises and puddles proliferate. A muggy week.

Today still looks mostly dry with just a 10 percent chance of a stray shower late in the afternoon and evening.

A few T-storms may drift into the Red River Valley later today, but the rest of Minnesota remains dry with highs in the 80s. If the sun stays out long enough we could hit 90F from Wednesday into Monday of next week. A few late-day instability T-showers bubble up each day, but most of the time will be dry. It's back to the 80s (without the 8-tracks or big hair). A stalled bubble of high pressure keeps us sunny much of this week with a few lonely, late-day T-showers Tuesday into Friday. Another potentially bad smoke day is shaping up today, with enough murky sunshine for 80 degrees. Smoke may keep us a few degrees cooler.
