Just outside the speaker event, about 200 students and community members protested Gellman’s presence in Oakland.
Yadin Gellman, an IDF veteran and Israeli actor, spoke to Pittsburgh students at an event organized by Student Coalition for Israel at Pitt and hosted by Hillel Jewish University Center of Pittsburgh. The event drew student and community protesters who blocked traffic and chanted outside the entrance to the building. Protesters gathered at the Cathedral.
