A 16-year-old girl was struck by a southbound G train near Park Slope’s 4th Avenue-9th Street subway station while she and a group of other people were walking on the tracks, authorities and sources said.

A semi-truck not hauling any trailers got hit by a train in Bettendorf after it got stuck on the tracks. The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. near State and Criswell Streets. Our Quad Cities News spotted damage to the back of the truck. Police say nobody was hurt.

The parents are scheduled to appear in Columbus Recorder’s court on March 19 at 8 a.m., according to police.

Officers responded Saturday to an injury accident in the 200 block of South Baltimore.

Jordan Steinke, a Fort Lupton, Colorado, police officer who placed a handcuffed suspect into a police SUV that was then hit by a train, was sentenced to 30 months of supervised probation and 100 hours of public service, according to her attorney.

No criminal inquiry is being conducted into the death of a police officer hit by a train while he attempted to rescue a man from the tracks.
