Johnnie: Back when Longmont was in the process of getting ready to replace Twin Peaks Mall, didn't the city put up as collateral three buildings (I believe the Justice Center, the library and one other one that I don't recall) that garnered $27 million to go toward that project? Have the loans against these buildings been repaid?

Dear Johnnie: St. Francis Catholic Church is building something on their property west of the church on Pike. Could you tell me what it is? Also, there seem to be many subdivisions being built between Nelson Road and Rogers Road between Airport Road and Hover Street. I am worried about all of the traffic on the two lane Rogers Road. Do these developers have to pay for widening Rogers Road and making improvements to it? — BF

I am saddened by the announcement that we will commemorate the flood of 2013. This was a horrific event for many of us. Our homes were hurt, and our hearts were as well. The city of Longmont has failed to repair the St. Vrain Greenway. With all of this talk of housing, it would be such a blessing for our trails to be reopened. We've moved on, but Longmont clearly has not. Can we do the trails before we do new housing?

A 16-year-old may be charged as an adult in the fatal shooting of Robert Maldonado who died after being shot in the Longmont Hobby Lobby parking lot in March.
