In efforts to raise funds for VFW operations and scholarships to give back to the community, veterans are bringing family fun to Kingsville.

A great sense of gratitude, with a side order of pride, was on the menu for these veterans and their families.

The event to commemorate Sept. 11 was held at the School of Science and Technology College Prep High School on Friday.

Local veteran groups are working with the City of Corpus Christi to help recognize the city's naval traditions.
