ALBANY — The Albany County Department of Health will be administering the Pfizer vaccine at multiple walk-in vaccination clinics this week.
The department is hosting a clinic Wednesday at the Albany Capital Center, located at 55 Eagle St. in Albany, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. While individuals can register in advance for the clinic, appointments are not required and walk-ins will be welcome.

Salesforce will reopen its San Francisco headquarters in mid-May, starting with employees who have been vaccinated, the company said Monday.
The tech company, which is the city’s largest private employer, is taking a different approach than other businesses by requiring proof of vaccination for its first volunteers returning to offices. It appears to be the first major Bay Area company to implement that requirement to start. Other companies such as Facebook and Google haven’t required vaccinations as they reopen offices this month.

San Francisco supervisors approved on Tuesday an 806-foot tower that will be the city’s fourth-tallest building, the culmination of a four-year process that included a fight over shadows and an office lease that was canceled by Salesforce after the pandemic popularized remote work.
Supervisors voted 10-1 to confirm the Parcel F project at 542-550 Howard St. next to the Transbay transit center. A routine second vote affirming the decision is scheduled next week.

Salesforce, the city’s largest private employer, has canceled its 325,000-square-foot lease at the unbuilt Parcel F tower in San Francisco’s Transbay neighborhood, as first reported by the San Francisco Business Times.
The company announced in February that more than half of its workforce will continue working remotely or on a flexible schedule after the pandemic is over. It is also subleasing part of its offices at 350 Mission St., according to the San Francisco Chronicle. (SFGATE and The San Francisco Chronicle are both owned by Hearst but operate independently of one another.)

Patients who were supposed to get their COVID-19 vaccinations through Yale New Haven Health Monday or Tuesday will be rescheduled for later this week, according to an official overseeing the program.
The vaccination sites were closed because of the snowstorm.
“We have a way in our electronic health record to move an entire schedule to a later day,” said Dr. Ohm Deshpande, vice president for population health and associate chief clinical officer. “Everybody will get rescheduled for this week, and that includes the weekend.”
