Howard Strobel News Today

Frank E. Strobel was born on a homestead northwest of Russellville on Dec. 10, 1886. While growing up, he worked alongside several siblings on their parents farm and studied at the local Van Pool School. Yet, as the years passed, he made the decision to move to the Pacific Northwest and was later drafted into the U.S. Army.

Duke recently announced a new residential plan, QuadEx, which will connect the East Campus freshman dormitories to one of seven quads on West Campus. As QuadEx is being launched, we might look back at another time when residential life underwent a massive change.
