Clemson University men’s basketball earned an at-large bid as a No. 1 seed into the 2023 National Invitation Tournament and will face Morehead State in Littlejohn Coliseum for the first round. The game will be played on Wednesday, March 15 at 7 p.m. and air on ESPN+. This will be Clemson’s 18th appearance in the NIT and the Tigers hold a 19-17 overall record in the event. Brevin Galloway (Anderson, S.C./Seneca) scored a career-best 28 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field, including 4-of-5 from three and a perfect 10-for-10 at the line. The win was the largest by a Clemson team against NC State since Jan. 13, 1940 for a 66-31 Tiger victory. Dude Buchanan finished with 21 and Banks McFadden had 20 points in that game. The Tigers (20-8, 12-5 ACC) recorded 28 assists - the most in the Brad Brownell Era and the most in an ACC contest this season league wide.
