Mar 3, 2021 The Bears made tight end a priority last year and Cole Kmet finished strong in his rookie year, leading to hope they hadnt squandered a second-round pick the way they did three years earlier with Adam Shaheen. It remains a position of interest because a team can use two or even three tight ends, but other needs rule out any interest in selecting Floridas consensus first-rounder Kyle Pitts, if not Boston Colleges Hunter Long and Penn States Pat Freiermuth. Both Long and Freiermuth c...

Senior writer John Oehser and Jaguars analyst Bucky Brooks examine the Jaguars’ tight ends in this position-by-position look at the ’21 offseason

Recently I set up a three round live draft over at Tim Sarvey’s site, Walk The Mock. As a long time member of the Behind The Steel Curtain, and really good guy, I try and publicize his site as much as possible. His new drafting tool “Real Time” is the first of it’s kind where you can draft with other fan bases as opposed to drafting against “the bot”. An example of this would be “the bot” passes on Trevor Lawrence when there isn’t a Jacksonville GM. We know that isn’t happe...

2021 NFL Draft: Fantasy Rookie Report - Tight Ends Senior fantasy analyst Michael Fabiano breaks down the incoming rookie tight ends on-field & fantasy potential Author: TIGHT ENDS If there’s a statistical "ugly duckling" among rookie offensive skill positions, theres no doubt its the tight ends. Long operated as a focal point of the passing attack and finished the season with 57 receptions, 685 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. Long showed enough upside to guarantee being selected in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, the question is, does he belong in the to...

"We just never really got that position," Beane said. "At the end of the year, I thought we did a little bit, Dawson started to get his groove. But it was never where the opposing defense was like, man, weve got to stop their tight ends from going off. So well into look to that group. "At the end of the day, wed love to have a guy like what we just faced in Kansas City -- they dont come very often. But thats what we want. Weve got some guys here we want to continue to develop and see what happe...

Most of my draft work has been put into the BTSC big board so far, and any extra time has been focused on just players and not projections. However, I am finally here to deliver my first Steelers seven round mock draft of the year. Remember, a mock draft is supposed to be a projection of what you think wi...
